AOS Website Redesign! Male
Default AOS Website Redesign!

While I still highly encourage people to boycott the AOS...I have to say that I'm really impressed with their new website design/layout. It's great that they decided to place the link to the Affiliated Societies in a more prominent location. Hopefully that will help generate more traffic for the affiliated societies.

One aspect that is surprisingly absent from their update is the social networking angle. No facebook "Like" widget like the OrchidBoard has? In the middle of the LA Arboretum's homepage they invite visitors to Share their Arboretum moments via Facebook and Flickr. Sharing is caring...right? Societies should be all about facilitating connections.

Now that the AOS has switched over to .aspx pages it would be easy for them to integrate the code I wrote to dynamically display flickr photos on their website.
