I accidentally knocked a vigorous new shoot's bud tip off of my "Royal Walk -Snowdrift" Cattleya plant which has new roots forming like mad.
Will I lose the newly rooted arm now, do you think?
I also left my Hausermann's Neo falcata outside overnight on Saturday; the temps might have went down to high '40's. It has one top brownish leaf on 1 of the 3 growths.
No pic. Can it pull through this?
Cattleyas usually have two "eyes", on either side of a growth. Having lost one new growth, the other eye might start to grow for you. Good luck!
I looked up C. Royal Walk, and it should be able to manage temps into the 40's just fine. Likewise the Neofinetia falcata. Hopefully, not too wet when cold (It wasn't even all that cold for them). But I think neither of these will be harmed.
When mine arrived, the new growth had been damaged by cold and it died. Quite quickly, a new eye began to develop. Thankfully, this is a vigorous Cattleya.
