Hello Guys, one of my phalaenopsis orchid seems in bad condition, and my home has not ideal humidity and in fact, i never had successful of/see growing new root tips.
So, i decided to purchase Superthrive,
I live in Italy and we use Litre instead of Gallon.
I can google it but i want to ask directly to those people who use that product and uses a liter quantity.

How much superthrive in a liter? Female

Hi. There are a thousand Milliliters per one liter (milli means 1000.)

There are on-line converters that can do this calculation for you. You can even convert tablespoons to milliliters, and gallons to liters.

I have used superthrive (I now use Inocucor) and really, you can add it to your fertilizer if you wish. Just remember to use the fertilizer very sparingly unless it is an orchid that is said to be a "heavy feeders" which I believe the Nobile dendrobiums, catasetums, and cymbidiums are (and probably more).

WHOA NELLIE!!!

1) Superthrive is a plant growth stimulant.
2) Inocucor is a plant probiotic - totally different.

To answer the original question, 1ml/L, used once a month, should be fine.

A word to the wise: the synthetic hormone in Superthrive is very chemically unstable, so unless you have a very fresh bottle that has been stored in a refrigerator, don't count on it being very effective.

Hello, thans for the info, i just cancelled my order because it actually has negative effect on others orchids and the product itself has an unstable hormone that cant be preserved very well. The price and the quantity is just waste for a product which like what u said isnt sure that the hormone still active in there.
I also read it contains something carcinogenic so that is the thing that makes me worry about.

Im thinking of GrowthTecnology Orchid Myst and
seaweed product.
What you suggest?
Does seaweed has more stabilize hormones? For how many years?

What product you suggest?

Help.

If it was on the shelf in the store for a while before you bought it, it may already be ineffective. You can try it and see if it does anything.

I won't buy Superthrive for 3 reasons. 1. It is advertised as having 15% solids but very little information on what is actually in it. 2. The claims on the package are ridiculous, given the known ingredients; it over-claims it's benefits, while the few known ingredients are unstable root stimulating synthetic plant hormones (regulated by USEPA as a pesticide, FYI). 3. The instability that Ray mentioned.

I do not believe there is anything carcinogenic in Superthrive.

As far as seaweed extracts, there is so much variability in the products on the market, that I have no way to recommend one locally available in the Philippines.

Most liquid kelp/seaweed extracts are more stable than synthetics, but that does not mean they are all the same in that regard, either. KelpMax has been shown to be active for as much as four years, but others are far less stable. No matter what, I recommend refrigerating them, for maximum life. Heat is the enemy of the active ingredients.

Nor do I. The synthetic hormone is 1-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA). It is regulated under USEPAs authority under FIFRA rules.

USEPA also regulates 2,4-D, another synthetic plant hormone.
