see what looking at roots found for me..almost plucked it thinking it was old leaf..duh!! actually I was leading the wayward roots back into moss for a little weave. roots get weaves too. the other side of root porn was bud porn :) |

cutherberts roots. the man said it was time to mount them up or move into larger pots. from 1.5 "- 2.5" :) These are grown in new zealand sphagnum and clay pots |

Here's a "before and after" of a very happy coerulea hybrid: C. Sea Breeze x Lc. Lois McNeil. I can't find pictures of this cross but both parents are beautiful!
I left this cattleya at my parents' home probably a decade ago and cut off a nearly rootless piece back in December just to practice rooting divisions. Today, I had to cut the plastic pot off the root system to slip-pot into a larger container. This is one happy plant! I'm ready to see blooms on this one! David |

Oooh! For some reason, the lack of any pattern or texture on those squishy roots reminds me of gummy worms... Though I'm sure they wouldnt taste the same
