Fertiliser question for Ray.

Ray, I was looking for some comments you made concerning fertiliser, and how it contributed to plant growth. Was it how much water had to be processed to use a certain amount of nitrogen, or how much fertiliser was needed to grow a certain amount of plant tissue?

If I remember correctly, to gain 500 grams of mass, a plant must process about 100 kilograms of water and about 5 grams of fertilizer nutrients.

That means an awfully small amount of fertiliser is needed, doesn't it?
