Hi everyone, just wondering if dry orchid fertilizer has a shelf life? I have two bags of Better-Gro that are close to 3 years old. I've always stored it sealed in plastic and inside but does it loose it's potency after time? For the cost I'm thinking new fertilizer would be best. thanks for any ideas.
It's fine to use. Go ahead. Nitrogen compounds do break down in water solutions if exposed to heat and bacteria, but that doesn't seem to be the case for your product. The other minerals will not be much changed.

To preserve the fertilizer's dry consistency a lot longer, place the fertilizer in a glass jar, preferably with a metal lid, one that can make a good air-tight seal.
