I've got one that I have had for 2 years, that is doing the same thing. I have never reported it because it blooms over and over. It's in a clear pot with bark. The roots are really healthy, too. I've only fertilized it once. It sits in a window facing west.

Hmmm, pollinate and get some seeds? Something I know NOTHING about but sounds very interesting!

Can you show us a photo of this amazing Dendrobium? I'd like to try and get one!

I had a hybrid Phal that was in constant bloom for over 2-1/2 years. Admittedly, it did begin to look a bit sparse as the spike and its branches elongated with only flowers on the ends of them. And, the plant did die before the final blossom did. It got crown rot, made an offset that I gave to someone with an orchid greenhouse. Then the plant died before making another offset.
I attributed the plant's death to exhaustion at the time. But now, I think its dying was due to being kept where I was setting conditions for cool-dry-rest Dendrobiums. If I had made better conditions for it, I think it would probably be alive and still in bloom.

Well, gotta blow my horn as well. Two of my NOID phals that spiked in early December are still going strong. One of them has double branching spikes with creamy peach colored blooms. Around 17 or so. The other is pure white with maroon spots in a horizontal line thru the middle of each bloom. These are growing on a wide counter that divides my living room and kitchen, under track lighting. The bulbs are Led's from Orchid web, and currently there are 5 other phals also in full bloom
