Default variety of dendrobium anosmum

There are so many types of dendrobium anosmum with distinct colour and form and plant size growth type, and flowering style. So my intention of this thread please post the kind of anosmum you have with description and photo so we get well informed about its beauty and existence.

Here is mine. I'm not an expert on this species so I think it's probably a standard D. anosmum, no special variety.

I actually received this from in-laws that live in the Dominican Republic. Had it for years and never understood why it would not flower. Then I learned about dry rest period (about 3 years ago). Suddenly it bloomed really well for me.

I wanted to add that it does have a rather Raspberry like scent to it. Very enjoyable.

I've had several D. anosmums over the years.
These two were grown in my living room in Alaska

Note the difference in the shape of the flowers between the two plants.

This one is now growing in my yard here in Hawai'i

All three have or had a strong raspberry fragrance.

Now, This may not be an anosmum.
But I consider it to be Den. anosmum's little brother because of it being pendant and also having a strong raspberry fragrance.

I can not post the photos directly as they are not on a photo sharing site and my web site does not have http locations for each individual orchid.

I have photos of
Den. anosmum v alba
Den. anosum white w/ blue lip
Den. anosum 'Blue Lip
Den. anosmum var huttoni

anyone that wants a copy of the photos can email me at jerry@orchidsamore.com and ask for them

This is how I did it:

The living room South sliding door and SW window.

Note the humidifier in the lower left corner, plus the fan[one of several] and the spray bottle in the lower center. Also, the plexiglass barrier between the sliding door and the large pots with the Phaius and Bamboo orchids to keep the cold air coming off the door away fron those pots. From the orchids in bloom I think it is February.

The LR SW window again.

This is probably further into March, about breakup, the end of winter.

LR NW window.

This is probably January of February. The Slumbergeras in the large planter have finished blooming.
The throw blankets were for evenings when the programmable thermostat I put in brought the temps down to about 60*F every night.

There were also 2 bedrooms with S and SW facing windows that had orchids suspended in them.
I kept as many as 75 orchids in these windows on the shelving and daisy-chained in the windows.

I would spend hours several days a week watering them in the kitchen. I worked very hard at keeping them alive and blooming.
