Default KLN or Superthrive.... hmmmm?

:
Hey guys so i've been doing some 'Sphag and Bagging' more like papertowel and bagging but anyway, i wanted to see which treatment would get my chids going faster.
So i have two Blc. Pink Diamond seedlings that had no good roots. I soaked one in KLN and the other in ST and then bagged them in ziplock bags in a bright warm area. I soaked the papertowel in the respective solutions as well.

A month later... nothing happened with the chid in KLN, but the chid with ST has 4 nice roots forming.
Here they are in the ziplock bags

The newgrowth on the ST chid after a month

Not sure that's a fair test. I've used both (Superthrive for over 5 years, KLN for one year) and I'll vote for KLN any day. But I don't think your test is the end-all for the diff. I have found (for me) that when an orchid has any kind of viable roots (nubbins or otherwise) then the KLN will outperform the Superthrive hands down.

I also had an Oncidium who was twiddling her thumbs and doing nothing after i dropped it several times by accident

So i said i would give it some Superthrive, lo and behold a month and a half later it has two new growths and tonnes of roots forming!!
Roots are even growing between the leaves!!

Some of the green tips are 1cm long!!

Its even secreting what i call love juice cause its happy

My Blc. Golden Zebra has also been in 'papertowel and bag' with Superthrive for 2 weeks!!!! And check this out! Its even growing new roots on the old dying root!

I'm not saying it will work the same way for everyone. I am just showing what i have seen on my plants in my conditions. I am sure everyone else's results would vary somewhat if they tried it.

Wow, those are cool pictures! The only thing I love more than a new spike is new roots! It looks like superthrive is really working for you. I've been using KLN but not for very long so it's too soon to tell if it's actually doing anything. I've never tried superthrive but now I'd really like too. Thanks for sharing pics of your nice healthy 'chids!

I'm glad you like the pics! I'm really impressed with the ST because i was really careless with the Onc. I dropped the pot several times and almost all the roots broke But i find that the ST is really helping it along nicely.

*disclaimer* these results may differ for others
