Real Orchis Italica Seeds!

Hello, I recently came into contact with an individual who grows and sells Orchis Italica plants and seeds. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying to germinate some seeds for me and to keep some for yourself of course. I obviously have no experience with germinating orchid seeds and am in need of some assistance. The individual who grows this also cannot send plants to the USA due to shipping costs. If anyone is up for the job, please let me know. These seeds need a good medium with potatoes and apple juice he said. If someone agrees to it, I will put you in contact with him and he will send you the seeds at his earliest convenience. I will also give you his website.

Something stinks. Why on earth do the shipping costs matter to the seller? He could simply have the buyer pay. I think it's more likely that this seller realizes that illegally shipped plants are more likely to be intercepted by the USDA than illegally shipped seeds........

That is indeed a reputable site full of excellent information. And the seller does comply with US import regs. Are you aware of the costs involved?

To the op, if you really want this plant, import the seed yourself and have a flasking service such as Meyers Conservatory germinate and produce flasks of seedlings.
