Sophronitis coccinea 4n small flowers

I recently bought a Soph. coccinea 4n from Andy's the other day in bud. The flower is partially open today, but the petal span is less than an inch! I have never seen or heard of this problem before and this is very unexpected, especially coming from a 4n. I think it may have to do with my 40% humidity but I don't see anything else that could have happened. Will post pictures later.

Soph. coccinea's flowers increase in size dramatically after opening.

You're right! It expanded a bit! Thanks for the info! I just haven't seen this behavior on any orchid.
