Default advise on imported plants?

Anyone able to offer insight on how to best acclimate newly imported plants from the opposite hemisphere? Specifically, I just got a Laelia bradei from Brazil, and the plant is in its summer growth. All my other rupicolous laelias are in their winter dormancy.

I know these little plants have intense dormancy needs and I'm not sure how to foster it through this abrupt seasonal adjustment. Should I water it like its summer, or let it go dry like winter? Thanks in advance for any help!

advise on imported plants? Male

I would water and feed it. It is in active growth, so needs those resources.

Such plants are really affected by day length, so when next Fall rolls around, it should adjust to your regular schedule just fine.
