Phal. with Basal Keiki and Great Roots, but still Leaf Loss? Female
Default

I have 14 Phals and noticed as the days were getting shorter that the bottom leaf on nine of them started to yellow. I have them all under lights and the timer is adjusted to sunrise and sunset. Since so many of them are doing it, I suspect it is a seasonal thing. So far it has only been the bottommost leaf. They are still growing new leaves from the top. I am going to let them fall off naturally.

It was crown rot from me over-watering the plant. Thank goodness I had a basal keiki! I'll keep working on getting it to recover.
