I was repotting my psychosis mendelhall

I was repotting my psychosis mendenhall and OH MY GOSH ;( I broke off the one and ONLY new growth. Is there anyway I can save the little guy? I immediately put the piece in a small glass with wet spag.moss. Is there any hope?
Any ideas, comments, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Leslie, can you post a pic of this small growth? If it's only a small growth that came off, I don't think it will continue to grow. Usually only mature psuedobulbs will continue to grow new psuedobulbs when broken off and placed in media. I am sorry that happened Leslie, I have had that happen many times myself The orchid should put out another growth in no time hopefully ooor maybe a spike this time???

Sorry about the miss hap. It would be helpful if you could post 3 more times and then post a pic. I do think it will at least at some point start a new growth on the old ones where you broke the new one off.

Awww pat pat. I know how you feel. I broke off the new growth when I recently repotted my Encyclia. In fact the new growth was broken in half at the base. I didn't know they are so brittle!!!

It's happened to all of us, one of the laws of orchid growing - at some point, you stuff something up :P
Pictures would really help, though I also think the snapped off growth might not make it
