Den. nobile opinion, please
I have two Den. Nobile keikis that I have potted up in lava rock since last year. They have been growing great up til now. the leaves have all turned yellow and fallen off. I have not changed my culture practices since I potted them up. Any ideas of what might be going on ?

What is your growing area like? temperature wise most importantly?
Because nobile and its hybrids drop their leaves during fall or early winter, but only if the temperature is significantly lower and water is greatly reduced.
Maybe yours is just dropping the leaves a bit late, but maybe it is a hybrid??
Do the canes (pb) look alright? green and plump?
If yes, then it probably is nothing to be concerned about.
But ideally, this time of the year, they are supposed to be starting new canes already.

I've grew den. Nobile, some of them do drop leaves when temp drop significantly. Is the leaf yellow from the tip and work its way inward. If it is, there shouldnt be much to concern about like NYCorchidman states, if the canes are green and firm. Then it's fine. If the cane is wringle though, you might have a problem with underwater it. Check root to tell.

thank you for your replies. They are in the house, so temps have been very constant. they are in a clear pot, so roots are visible and look good. Canes look green and ok, no sign of new growth.

They need high light, you will be surprise. I have some that I put out in my balcony facing southeast. They seem to love it.

They are in a South window, so they get great light all day

How often do you water? Mine are watered every day plus whatever rain we get. I just repotted most of mine a couple of months ago and any little cane that broke off was potted in a fine media and they all are giving me new growth.

I wouldn't worry about it...mine is also losing its leaves. In the picture you can see that in the areas where the flowers have fallen, there are no leaves anymore.
During summer time, the old canes lose most of its leaves while new ones are born. By the end of the autumn, the new canes are completely developed and stop growing.

Try to water a bit more too, but still with good intervals. I find that as the temps go warm and warmer they do like a good shower as long as they dry out fast.
