I'd repot also - but I would wait til the bloom period was over & the new growth had roots. I'd half it down right threw the middle - it's gonna take some time find that one Marti

I'd also use plastic, very lite pots much easier to deal with. I tend to favor clay pots - sorta like the look of them more, but as weight does become an issue ... it's time to make some changes.

Your orchid is beautiful
