Oh gosh do I feel ignorant! I did not know about these guys, going to have to look into because I've always thought stinkbugs weren't an issue. I've had some pop up in my house over the winter then today I found one (inside) on my Zygolum when I went to water (I'm going to assume he was about to have a snack, and it's in bud...). Didn't feel the need to kill the bugger
so I flicked him off outside.
I never had any issues with them last summer when all my plants were outside. So it does seem that they don't care too much about orchids when they have other options.

They bite! I think the next one I see inside is going to be upset I read this thread.

Yeah, they stink, but they suck juices out of every plant in sight and I am not the type to throw them out so they can attack something out there. And I can just wash my hands afterward, so that doesn't really bother me at all. I really detest them. They are everywhere hibernating in large numbers. I should have known they weren't the native ones - I had not seen this type before a couple of years ago, so I am guessing these are the "imports".

I've definitely seen some 'outbreaks' here and there but not sure what species it is. I'm rather glad I've read this, now I have to figure out whose bad and who doesn't deserve to die!

Lord, now I feel guilty, I'm thinking the little sucker I flicked outside (thinking I was doing the karmically right zen thing to do) is one of these invasive buggers. Great...
