Fdk. After Dark ‘SVO Amazing' x Ctsm. Mark Dimmitt ‘Ed Wise'
Hello, new to the board, grateful to have received the help I've already had in a couple of threads.
I had the winning bid on the Fdk. After Dark ‘SVO Amazing' x Ctsm. Mark Dimmitt ‘Ed Wise' at the NCOS auction last month. At the time I got the plant it's leaves were about to fall. I've not been watering having managed to pick up that much info so far. There seems to be a small growth at the base of the largest newest bulb . Is this a spike or a new bulb coming ? Also if anyone has a picture of this hybrid in flower that would be wonderful.
Something about the plant spoke to me at the auction or I would never have bid 56 dollars for it.
Thanks in advance
Steve

Check out the SVO website for bloom pics. I'd say it's a new growth.

Many Thanks
Thanks, read through it . I seem to be on track. There is a remnant of an old flower stem , so I'm hoping for a flower spike. Very weird looking plant , I love it .
Thanks again
Steve
p.s. Any pics of other hybrids you guys are growing ?
p.p.s. Found the other discussion topics , lots of pics , sorry , I need to get to know the site better

Actually, its too early to tell what that is. If the top is very round (which is how it looks to me in the pics), it will be a spike. If its a very sharp point, then it will be a growth.

Ah, I guess we will have to wait because it looks like a triangle to me

You should be able to tell within a week whether its pointy or round.
