Default Question for all regarding orchids!

Hi All!
I have a question for every one of you. (This is just a for instance scenerio) If something catastrophic was about to happen and you had to leave all your orchids behind quickly (everyone and everything else was taken care of) and you had only the choice of grabbing two orchids to take with you...one in each hand, which two of your very favorites would you grab to save and why? Let's say there were no options of buying others for at least a couple of years. Which ones would you say you loved the most to be your only two? (this is a thought that came into my head last night as I was admiring my chids and trying to pick two overall favorites. Very tough decision, but please give it a whirl.
Thanks, kiki-do

I'd wrestle my orchidarium up the stairs and into the back of the pickup!

But seriously, none of my orchids are more valuable than my wife and/or my backup hard drive of my photo library. Neither can be replaced. Orchids can always (well.... almost always) be replaced.

I would grab a couple of my awarded plants since they are some of my best. My Phrag Jason Fischer 'Gus' FCC/AOS would be one, and the other would be a bit tougher.

I've learned how to hang 5 of my mounted minis on each hand - one on each finger - for their regular dunkings... so that means I get 10!!

Ross, kiki specified that everyone and everything important had already been taken care of...I'm sure ALL of us would make sure our loved ones and pets were safe before thinking of the orchids

In that case, we can hang one over each ear and cleavage leaves a space for hanging!

How's THAT for a visual?

Question for all regarding orchids! Male
Default

Well seeing as how I live in the land of burning sky and flaming earth, not to mention major motion prone, (San Diego, CA area) I am prepared to go down fighting.
There really is no place to go should anything happen ... when we think of catastrophes around here it is on the planetary scale, lol.
But in all seriousness, my lovely bride first, my Parrots second and my plants would be far from my mind.
