Okay, so you've had me walking around my greenhouse scratching my head trying to decide which ones will live and which ones will die. (I'm suppose to be cleaning Bird's cage )

My first pick would be Blc Chia Lin 'Debby' AM/AOS

Anybody care to guess why?

Second one...I wanna say a rare one but I keep seeing this huge noid phal sitting there . It was my first orchid that I didn't kill. It started it all Can I leave her behind????

Sure I can!! I'd grab my original division of Blc Goldenzelle 'Orange Pumpkin' and hit the door running!!!

Debs,
I feel sooooo guilty! Go Clean the Bird's cage!
Thanks for the imput, though.
I'm only a 1 1/2 year grower. I've gathered many for a new grower, but not very "up" on all the different species.
Guess I am trying to weed out everyone's favorite .....see all the different choices....why those choices....it's fascinating to me.
I learn so much on this Orchid Board.
I appreciate everyone playing along with my silliness.

Hi All - I'm back.

Thanks KiKi-do for starting this post - it was fun to read. You're right it is facinating to see which plants who would take.

Personally I've been thinking about it while I was watering my plants & found it really difficult. I don't know which I ones I would grab. I don't want to leave any behind .

Maybe Aerangis Mysticidii (?) it seems to be a faithful bloomer - I'll post pics as soon as all the buds open.

Pleur tripterantha this one has given me 5 flower spikes without any problem - again I'll post pics as soon as I can.

Hi Liz! Welcome back!
It's nice to see you here again

Could you please take a sec to PM another member: Pinkcat ...we were discussing that Aerangis last night in the chat room. From what I read it takes HOT temps so we figured it would not do well for her. Maybe with some information from you, she can make a more educated decision. Thanks

Kiki-do, I should have said why I picked the two I did. The Aer. is my most unusual plant, and one of my few species. I was dubious about whether I could grow this one or not, but not only is it growing it bloomed as well. The Dtps. Kenneth Schubert 'Purple Martin' I picked because of it's possibilities. It's supposed to have blue/violet flowers. It's just a baby and hasn't bloomed yet, but I sure want to be around when it does. There are others in my collection that I'm fonder of, but they are more easily replaced.

I'd grab the compot of Phal schillerianas in one hand (20 plants!) annnnd the Den kingianum 'Speckles' in the other. The compot Phal because they're my first successful flasklings and i can fit 20 in one hand. The kingi because its a beauty but also it makes about a dozen keikis every year as well as flowers... so i'd have tonnes more in no time.

My Phrag Besseae and any other one I could grab!! (It would be hard to hold the second one with the bottle of Crown Royal I was saving in that hand already!)

Yes, I can understand the dilemma. It would be quite the balancing act. I would opt for a nice bottle of Merlot, but it would be tough to hold both as well. Thanks for the chuckle! kiki-do
