FOr a rebuttal to the Sophronitis mess, search for papers by Chiron and Castro. Of course, the reoganization by Chiron and Castro splits the Brazilian laelias into several new genera, the analysis is much more comprehensive and accurate. It'll still make a mess of the hybrid registries, but it is a logical and well-supported revision, unlike the Van de Berg paper.
There are many rumours about there being a new paper presented at the WOC in Miami. I await this new information with baited breath.
