After reading several articles about people who were successful growing the ghost orchid along side their other orchids, I decided to try growing with my Angraecoids. The worst case would be more dead orchids and the fun of seeing ghosts close-up. Over the winter I lost several roots and did not see growth. Now with the warmer temps, I see a tiny new root emerging. That's a toothpick pointing towards it in photo. Those dried shriveled curly things are dead roots.
The ghosts have a lot of growing to do this summer to get back to where they were before winter. At least one hasn't given up in my sub-optimal conditions.
