I remounted it on its cork slab. I also attached a wire cage over it. Thanks for your response! I'll post if it dies or shows any new growth.

I took a picture of my Ghost Orchid cage. On the upper two roots you can see the thin white inner core of the root where something ate it off.

Bummer. I hope he perks up. He's green, moist, and alive, so there is still hope!
