The Fabled East Window
Default The Fabled East Window

I just moved into a new apartment with a nice 6' wide 5' tall east window in my bedroom. Very nice light coming through here AND theres a house about 15ft away from the window (a nice distance but still close enough) that is painted white and that wall reflects ALOT of light back through the window when the sun is directly out of the window.

Ive never had a proper large east window. The fabled east window that grows everything haha.

But my question is, how is this window perfect for phals and still perfect for higher light plants at the same time?

Theres no way to feng shui my indoor grow set up into my bedroom. So I'm thinking of bringing my plants back into the windowsill scene.. or they gotta do a grow light set up somewhere else.. which isnt as fun

What do you guys think.. maybe its time to just get a light meter and be done with the hypothesis

Definitely bedroom. Move them closer or father away from that fabled light depending on the species light requirements.

Go back to natural light if you can. Less energy consumption, prettier, win-win.

Here's the set-up for now. Just bummed I gotta re-dial in everyone into the window. With my set-up under the lights I got everyones measurements, boom boom, its good to go. Throw it up anywhere I need to.

Up top is Sederia Japonica mounted, BLC, Zygo

On the bottom are 3 phals and a paph.

Then I got a blooming nodosa next to my bed out of picture
