Would it be out under full sun? How would you shade the plants? I have a situation that may be similar to yours in that my orchids do best mounted. I grow on a small patio. No trees to hang them on. My wood trellis rotted and I didn't want to go that route again. Instead, I pulled out two rolling clothing racks, strapped them together and put a wood lattice over them, then tossed my shade cloth on top, creating a sort of rolling shade house. It has worked well for me and I can roll it under the balcony in inclement weather. Just my

If you make the vertical side supports out of 4 inch copper tubing the snails won't go near it. nor the slugs. Drive #8 or #12 rebar into the ground and put the tubing over that for rigidity.

What I made from 4x4 are some poles with the hooks from Hang-A-Pot
