Identifying an "eye" on a Pseudobulb Male
Default Identifying an "eye" on a Pseudobulb

What do they look like? I know what they look like on a potato, but I have yet to definitely identify one on an orchid pseudobulb on which to apply keiki paste/liquid to activate it. The instructions said to put it on an eye, but never said how to identify one.

Thanks!

What type of orchid?
On my cattleyas it looks like this. The bright green nubbin on the base of the psuedobulb.

On catts and dens -- with nodes that have not yet begun to swell/develop, they look rather like a "triangular" scale with the apex of the scale pointing up the stem.

That looks like it's already started growing into something.

Thanks, how about Oncidiums and Cymbidiums/Grammatophyllums?

No.... it's still a dormant eye. I'm hoping it grows into something lol.
I'm not sure what the eyes on others look like... lemme see if I can find them
