Yes, should you ever have a frog appear with your order, send it to me! I'd keep it in my greenhouse!

Anyone else read Scientific American? There is a good article in the December 2013 Scientific American (Fungi on the March) about why efforts should be made to discourage plants from being sold without testing for disease. Pretty scary.

I looked up the seller that sent me the frog before releasing it and it is in a neighboring state so I figured it would be alright. I don't really know if it was a frog or a toad. I figured if anything it probably wouldn't survive long in the city, but I didn't have the heart to kill it myself, and nobody wanted to take it, there was no way I could keep it either. I have to say I wasn't thinking very clearly at the time, hopefully it won't happen again but if it does I'll offer it up on the OB first lol.

It isn't really your fault that a frog was part of your order and, for all you know, the amphibian could be happily thriving in the nearest park.

If it was from a neighboring state & living in the orchids, it was probably a toad. It probably is fine released anywhere outside. Hey! Maybe it hopped its way to Central Park!

One of the local orchid growers had a greenhouse full of tree frogs. They were everywhere and he didn't bring them in, they just showed up. I had hoped that some of the plants I got from him had frogs hiding in the substrate... but they didn't.

Those little tree frogs are pretty clever. I had them show up when I created a pond once. Really enjoyed having them around.
