I have two plants of this Blc., and both grow in an unkempt, floppy manner. I just let mine do their "thing", but if you want neat, upright UNfloppy growths, this one will require a lot of staking.
I set out to locate this plant after having seen a photo on the web. It appeared to be hot pink or fuchsia...just drop dead gorgeous. That photo had been "tweaked", so to speak. The actual flower is a dark mahogany color with a white lip, spots and a lavender blush. Pretty, but nothing like its picture.
Well, I'm happy to report . . . I have a BLOOM!! It started opening yesterday, and this is what it looks like, as of 3:00 this afternoon, with one more bud to come.
After all this little plant and I have been through, it's a welcome sight, to be sure!!
