I have a feeling I/the op will hit a dead end in this search, but I too would really like to find a source for this orchid. Believe it or not, I was able to locate and purchase both Harrisella porrecta and Campylocentrum pachyrrhizum from a now long out of business nursery in 2003 (I think it was called Countryside Orchids). I lost the Harrisella to too much care (water) and the Campylocentrum to munching squirrels. This time I would keep them in a cage and not water so much. In 2003-2004 I set out on a quest to collect every epiphytic orchid species native to FL and I collected the vast majority. Now, I find FAR fewer of these native orchids for sale on eBay and elsewhere than a decade ago. Who knows why.

Have you kept an eye on ebay? Sometimes you find an odd orchid popping up on there.

My pref. is Catasetum's and I have my eye on one that you do not see very often popping up here.

Yes, I have checked eBay occasionally, but no luck. I guess I will keep checking periodically on the very off chance one eventually shows up. I did just get a ghost orchid a bit larger than a seedling so that helps!

Cal-orchid has a lot of different leafless species orchids, they may have the harrisella. Also Ecuagenera in Ecuador as well as Hamlyn in Jamaica both do this thing where they get plants into the country when they arrive for a show under their general CITES license and then mail them to you to avoid additional CITES inspection costs, which apply when ordering from an international vendor. The only issue is waiting for them to come to another show in the US and orchid hobbyists can't always be patient!! But who can? Zen masters. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Holy Harrisella!
Thank you Ovanoshio for the leads. I will definitely be contacting the two orchid vendors you mention as I would like to add any leafless species available to my collection.
So, I happened in on a certain orchid vendor's website (Andy's) this evening and what do I find for sale...Harrisella porrecta! Finally! I have been looking for 10 years, no joke. Of course, I ordered one and it should be here later in the week. I think this plant will be pretty much a neglect plant here if kept in a humid microclimate and within the protection of my aluminum cage. I will post pics when it arrives.

Andy's Orchids is a great place to purchase species orchids of all types. He has an amazing collection and if he doesn't have it he can tell you where to get them.

James, I have bought a number of interesting and rare orchids from Andy's over the years. He is also a wealth of information. I will have to see now if he has any leads on finding Campylocentrum pachyrrhizum or lepanthopsis melanantha. I had the former many years ago (lost it to squirrels/other vermin) and have never found a source for the latter. An internet search reveals that Lep. melanantha is in cultivation, but is rare and quite hard to find.
Now that I have found a source for Harrisella porrecta, I am wondering if (assuming I am able to grow it well) one plant will enable me to have a continuous source of this orchid once the original plant ages and dies? Do I need at least two plants so I can get viable seed? Does this species produce keikis as I have read Dendrophylax lindenii does?
As a side note for those who are interested in leafless orchid species, I even located a source for a species I hadn't even heard of before, Campylocentrum tyrridion. Unfortunately for those in the US, the nursery is located in Panama and there is an order minimum for export orders (I assume this would apply to the US). I should start a mega thread to discuss everything related to leafless orchids.

Harrisella porrecta arrived today from Andy's! It seems huge to me! Great purchase, it came with many seed pods that had already been open. Obviously not useful, but still cool to see!
