I don't think I understand what is what in your pictures.
Is that largest one with two leaves on the new growth? and the much smaller, more wrinkled one next to it the mother pb?

The small shrively phulb is original mother phulb. The larger phulb. Is the phulb that is going into winter rest but it has a small growth about .5 inch there that has been growing for about 2 months now. Does that make more sense?

Here in Florida, I don't even take my bulbs out of their pots, they may drop a yellowing leaf now and again but have never gone leafless. I'm in Vero, and maybe rarely it get 40 degrees. They bloomed great this year. I just stick them back in the corner and forget about them maybe they get water every three weeks.
You should talk to your local orchid society about what they do. South Texas is a lot like Florida. What part are in you in.?

Well here in Texas we get just cool enough weather that the leaves do drop completely off. 3 of my 4 have started the leaf drop, I really did not expect them to though they were on the smaller side. But have decided to drop leaf. So who knows I guess they will do what they want to do.
I guess the temperature drop for fall weather here created just enough of a temp drop to trigger their sleep mode. Mine get sun an warmth all day with good air flow.

I am already seeing new growths peeking out of one of them.
But my biggest question still is what to do with the one that is starting to leaf drop but has a prob after looking today an 1 inch growth coming off of the side.
Will the one that is leaf dropping feed that baby bulb? So I should not water it after the last leaf has dropped until the new bulb is 3-5 inches tall?

strictly no water or fertilizer for now.....wait until your new growth is 5 inches or if you have 3 inches roots=then resume fertilizer and water regimen....follow the Catasetinae culture or your new growth will rot and die

you have a tiny growth forming....water will be trapped in its folds and might rot it....so starting right NOW....do not water it or fertilizer it....until the new growth is 5 inches in length....do not worry about the leaves of the old cane its done its part=its role is over=focus on the baby

Careful. Those leaves look like they are past photosynthesizing. The pbulb will have enough energy to grow the new growth until that new growth has roots. If the old pbulbs don't have roots and leaves, don't water. Definitely read Fred's (Sunset Valley Orchids) info on these. He's the expert.
