I love your optimism. Will post updates until they bloom or die...whichever comes first. So far the larger ones are looking good. One of the smaller seedlings tried to commit suicide by jumping from the mount into the drip tray. It seems to be doing ok there so I moved it to a spot I'm less likely to cover with a pot. I already knocked it with some moss. Pictures coming soon.

So are you just playing around with different growing methods? Is there not much known about the cultivation of this plant?

Thanks for the information. I can keep mine at 60F or higher. Funny about not babying them. That's my experience too. When I was watering them in the morning and misting or watering them again in the afternoon, they appeared to start declining. Now I'm just watering them once a day like my other mounted orchids and they seem stable. My humidity has been running 50 to 70 which is what I recall the Chicago grower had in the winter for the one he grew from a seedling and bloomed. I know humidity is higher in the Everglades where it recently has cycled from 50 to 90 in 24 hours. Temps are higher there too and I hope it's the balance that matters.

Hcastil3, What were the humidity and temps when yours were too cold? Was it a sudden or gradual change? Thanks again!

I was going for humor. It actually just fell off the mount it came on. When the moss dries, the plants get loose.

People grow them different ways depending on the conditions they have in their growing areas and how much effort they want to put into growing them. I am trying to grow them with my other orchids and limiting my efforts to daily watering and weekly fertilizing. Some have had success that way.

I am playing around with the clump that fell into the gravel. I haven't seen any articles about growing them on or in granite. I grow several Cattleyas that way and thought it would be interesting to try on these seedlings.
I'd like to try 100 seedlings this way, but that is not practical for me.
