new leaves, roots and flower formation all durring bloom?

I have a phalenopsis that has suffered root rot and mites. But yet I have managed to make it bloom. Not just 1 spike but 2 spikes. The roots are rotten and the plant has only been foliar fed. I have transplanted far to frequently to various mediums, bark, moss, hydroton and now on a cedar plank. I am in my bloom phase currently and I have grown 2 new leaves. The second leaf is just starting. Still with rotten roots, but new root formation is also currently starting. Is this a freak of nature or am I just that good?
