Wow, great for you, my hubby hates the plants so I know there will be never ever orchid from him as a surprise. If he only knew how many he BOUGHT me already:-) secretly:-) This is gorgeous Oncidium!

Lately my whole family and my friends have been really getting on my boyfriend case about not ever getting me an orchid, let alone a plant.

My boyfriend recently came home with a box of orchids for me from the nursery. He knows how much I love getting new orchids from that place and he picked out 6 really cool ones for me ( a couple of paphs, oncidiums, and a couple of really neat phals - one with a basal keiki). And then a couple days later he brought me a 50 L bag of Hydroton. I'm not sure why he is so supportive of this addiction, but I won't question it! lol!

This is so unfair! No one ever surprises me with plants or gift certificates for plants. After a holiday or birthday, they always comment that they had no idea what to get me! Honestly????
Congratulations. I think that is very sweet of him to notice you like orchids and get you one.

I hear you. I buy the orchids or order them and give them to my husband for him and my children to give to me. I get what I like, but no surprise involved |

I think my hubbie is too afraid to buy them for me now. He helps in many other ways (like a rain barrel, repairs to the sun room, etc.).
Leafmite, it amazes me how many people give me the same line. I'd be happy with anything!
