Hey, that dimorphorchis is gonna be mine next year! :)

It is still on my list, however I will go for near bloom size, if still available. I did chat with the Florida owner, she said she has 2 - she always buy 2 of the same plants if rare, just in case:-), and after 8 years this was the first time blooming. Must say, lot of patience!

I got this (bareroot) Catt for $2
It had a spent flower when I got it.
The flower is huge and a very intense dark purple.

just sold almost every last one of my orchids on ebay...sigh, my greenhouse is no more, closed up, I salvaged a few lady slippers for myself, that's it not....sad but true story....no more orchids for me...

I am sorry to hear that you HAD to get rid of the orchids and greenhouse. I had just imagine that you were getting into something else (herbs, lilies, ponding, etc). :(

I was at the Carter and Holmes Open House yesterday, and walked away with a Miltonia moreliana division, a Brassolaeliocattleya Waianae King 'Orchidheights' AM/AOS x 'Kosaki', and a retard. Well, to be specific, a Paphiopedilum delenatii with a deformed flower blooming 6 months out of season. When I brought it to their attention, they said that they would usually just compost it to avoid spending time and money just to find out whether or not it's a genetic abnormality, so I also got it for free. I already have a "normal" delenatii, so this if more or less for curiosity's sake.

Well I'm no longer a virgin (oh goodness to much information ) :rofl: I just received on Fri my very first mail order. So very exiting, my list is probably boring for allot of you but I need things easier to grow.
