Bellina, bellina var coerulea, violacea var alba, violacea malaysia blue, mariae and gigantea.
In the pics:
Neomoorea;
group from left: malaysia blue, mariae, violacea (for a friend), bellina coerulea and bellina;
phal bellina;

and, flowered for my birthday: bellina coerulea (it's more lavender than the pic and it smells A LOT like a Lilium)

The Neomoorea wallisii (or irrorata - Is there a difference?) is on top of my wishlist. Has been there for a few years already. I just think that flower is the most amazing of them all.
Keep us (me?) updated on the progress on that one, will you? I'm hoping I'll be able to get my hands on one during the WOC in Joburg next year. I just have to find a nursery to pre-order it from. Where did you get yours?

Hi Silje, they should be synonyms. I also liekd it from the very first time I saw: a pic of a show in northern europe (Germany I guess), but it was really hard to find.
This one came from ebay from a british seller. I know a vendor that has it in EU (30€ 4 years to flower) but don't know if it makes international shipping (CITES and phytos are necessary).
I'll surely kepp you updated on the progress

Wopsi, yes...Johannesburg. By locals known as Joburg. My fault entirely...it was the southern African in me speaking there.

have you:
1 ever lied to your husband/wife about how much money did you spend at any given time for any given (expensive) orchid?
2 or smuggled in an orchid to the greenhouse or shade house without wife or husband knowing about it?
(i have done the second).
whatever happens in OB stays in OB...
haha.
my next target is C. percivaliana coerulea undine. (expensive )

I've totally done this with my parents and family!!! That's why I make my orchid show purchases in cash, then they can't track it down.
My next target is the rest of the parvisepalum species type paphs & every variety of each, especially Paph. hangianum. So hard to find here though. Anyone know where to get one???

i am guilty , although i have not done the lie about the price to wife, but i did smuggled a plant or two, errr several plants to the greenhouse. easy to do when you are 200+ plants noone notice until it blooms , then the questions,... " i was unaware we had this" and then the answer. "been around here for a while." then a reply. "she is pretty". **think to myself** "got away with it." (priceless).
problem with orchids is that there is always the "i really need to have this rare plant" and then it shows up at the very worst moment.... two options comes up.
1. i buy it and get done with it, (yea right, the more you know the more you want!!)
2. stay away from it, but then you think, "...it is rare...","... might take several years to have the chance to get it..." then again "its rare, and i really want it", ---> go to point 1. money spend.
off topic.
i am also looking for the percivaliana undine, willing to pay really good, but not a crazy amount either. if someone knows of a bare root division 3 bulbs with a front. please send me their way.
