Default Experience with Oeceoclades calcarata, Eulophias in South Florida or similar zone?

I am interested in expanding my collection by adding a few more African orchids. Does anyone have experience growing the following species?

Oeceoclades calcarata
Eulophia petersii
Eulophia speciosa
Eulophia taitensus

Oeceoclades calcarata is a lithophyte and grows very much like a succulent. Do not use potting soil, though, it is an inappropriate mix. Aussie Gold is the easiest mix to use for these. It comes premixed with coconut coir. If you'd rather mix it yourself, diatomite, and coconut coir, with charcoal is the mix. They are water hogs. Very large plants, these guys are. Mine is about half my body size, this is not including flower spikes. These are extremely rare in the trade.

Honestly, I don't know how you're gonna get Eulophia speciosa. These things are not in the US market. The seeds you see on Ebay are not enough seeds in one packet to make 1 flask worth of seedlings, you'd need several of them, and there's no guarantee anyone here in the US can successfully sow them from seed. You can try. You might luck out. The seeds might not be fresh, though. Like I said, try it out and see. But from what I've read in many accounts, they're difficult to grow as an adult, blooming sized plant for some reason or other, not sure why yet. The only thing I know about them is that they grow in calcareous type sands.

Eulophia petersii is also a lithophyte. I don't grow this species, but I do know it is one. The stone would be granites or sandstones. I imagine diatomite or lava rock would work just fine.

No experience whatsoever with Eulophia taitensus, but I suspect it is also a lithophyte.

I grow E petersii here in Puerto Rico. I use equal parts promix, perlite, limestone chips, and those red balls I forgot what they are called. It does well for me in full sun.

I have an Eulophia petersii, graminea (a weed here), and Oeceoclades (Eulophia) calcarata. I would like to collect more Eulophias. What kind do you have in your collection?

Your list looks a lot like my list. I have a number of Encyclias and few Dens to trade, anosmums, moschatum. I'll be dividing a Bulbo papulosum soon. And I think I have a healthy popping Gram bulb. I have to go out when it is light to see what else is on the block. A short version of my wish list and my actual trade list follows soon. What are you interested in trading?
