Default Burrageara Oddity

Hi
I wondered if anyone could shed light on why my Nelly Isler is producing buds from within a leaf and dont appear to be on a spike.. it is the weirdest thing.
They appeared after the original spike had dropped the flowers on the opposite side of the pseudobulb.

Is there a small pbulb growing on top of the regular one?

I've have a few Onc alliance plants that sometimes get a small pbulb on top of the regular one, and one of those has spiked ...

So, a bit of an oddity, but not unheard of
