What happen with my Howeara?

I have one Howeara lava burst and she blooms 2nd season in my house. Before I bought her I saw some photographs and loved her flowers for dazzling red colour. But I disappointed this year when I saw again she blooms with pale yellow in addition with pale red spotted flower. I don’t know what happens with her and why her face becomes so wan. From the beginning day I placed this plant with my phalaenopsis in a 60% shade house. So is there any possibility of low light or high temp.(now the temp. is 38C) and for this reason the flower having lost their original colours? What can I do for her?

I don't know what temperatures or how much light this one likes, but both can affect bloom color. Often, cooler temps will result in deeper, more saturated color.

Yours is probably Howeara Lava Burst 'Puanani'. This may not be as dark red as Howeara Lava Burst.
