Default theocopus maingayi

Hello,
i have a theocopus maingayi and i noticed growths inside the pot I was wondering if this would do better on a mount or in a slatted pot do they flower from the bottom?
Growths could be flower buds starting?

Please post pics, it's easier to advise.

They do grow spikes from the base of each pseudobulb.

These are Cymbidium relatives from what I understand.

Very interesting plant, I've never heard of it before but it's now on my list haha.

They spike from the base but don't flower from the bottom... Here are links to a few forums talking about it:

Thecopus Maku’u Mehune - Slippertalk Orchid Forum- The best slipper orchid forum for paph, phrag and other lady slipper orchid discussion!

Thecopus Maku’u Mehune [Archive] - Slippertalk Orchid Forum- The best slipper orchid forum for paph, phrag and other lady slipper orchid discussion!

One of them says "Semi-shade, moist whole year round. They have one main blooming season, I believe, and thecopus secunda flowers gregariously with many spikes from the base of the plant."

Hope this helps!

they are Cymbidium relatives, closely related to Thecostele. the spike grows from the base of the pseudobulb, but tends to grow up and arch over, with only the end hanging below pot level.
you can grow them mounted, or in a basket if you can keep the humidity high enough.
