Hi Jim, would you mind telling a little more about your greenhouse stove. Like brand, size where you can get them? I'd surely appreciate it!

Deb,

My GH heater was included in the original GH design. It is a Modine, powered vent, propane (natural gas is also available), high efficiency, with electronic ignition. I have the 175,000 BTU model but others are available.

I have a 5 stage cool/heat controller that operates all my heater, cooler, ventilation fans and, vents. This is not a necessary part of the heater, but my heater is controlled by it.

You can find the entire line by searching Modine. My GH was designed and built by Sonnegro in Knoxville,TN. They primarily build commercial GH's, but unlike some commercial builders they will also do private houses. They will also put equipment into existing houses. Phone Phillip Carmichael at 865-546-9608 if you are interested. I'm a hard taskmaster when I'm spending money and I can honestly tell you that these folks are the very best to deal with. Example...I have a failed circuit board in my controller and Phillip is on his way from Knoxville now to replace it under warranty. I called him this morning. I know of other people with Sonnegro gH's who get similar treatment....Great people, honest and able.

Thank you very much for your response and the information. I've written it down for reference.

Sounds like you have your greenhouse in tip top condition! How big is it? 175,000 btu is a pretty big stove, isn't it?

Thanks Again!!

Deb, I've been asked to correct my post above to clarify the term "my greenhouse". It is not "my greenhouse" but instead "my wife's greenhouse". It was a slip of the fingers.

No actual words to that effect were exchanged. In fact, since my fingers slipped there have been no words exchanged, period. This was a gift to my wife for her years of tolerance to my lousy personality, myriad hobbies, and short attention span.

I was just the originator, payer, construction supervisor, and now maintenance man for this 2006 Xmas gift that was not completed until April 2007. Yes, it's a grand project...... 30 x 36, double walled polycarbonate, gothic style with 8 foot straight sidewalls, emergency generator ....commercial quality equipment installed to save on energy and minimize problems.

I hope this clarification will reinstate my communications priviledges because my wonderful Cocker Spaniel is tired of my constant talking to her. Believe me, my wife deserves this Gh and if you knew me, you would probably agree. My controller circuit board was fixed last night and hopefully I have now recovered from my misspeak about the ownership of the GH on our real estate.
