Rooting Hormone

I have a question ! Does anyone use a rooting hormone on a regular biases , like monthly on there orchid plants I was told you can do this and help out your plants to get more roots and more flowers?
i use a grow fertilizer and a blooming fertilizer I switch between the 2 of them weekly then once a month just use water.
What do you all think of the rooting hormone?

I used to use hormone product pretty regularly - a couple drops per gallon every week or two. I got a few mutated blooms, which can possibly be caused by regular use of hormones.

I now only use it on plants with poor roots - sometimes for newly repotted plants. On occasion some others may get a small amount because it's already in the watering can.

Bloom mutations are not permanent, so no harm in trying it. Just use only a very small amount if used regularly.

I have had the exact same experience. I do soak my newly potted/acquired plants in a growth stimulant solution just to ease them into their new homes but that's the extent of it. I have had deformed blooms this year on a standard NOID phal that I attribute to over use of these products.

I add a small amount of KLN to my first watering of every month. I've never had any problems with mutated blooms (although have read about this issue on the OB). Ray has a thread on here somewhere about refrigerating your KLN for maximum efficacy. Seems to work out ok for me.

I use Maxicrop Liquid Seaweed every two weeks. For a couple years I just added it to the fertilizer but now I apply it separately between fertilizing. I think it's an excellent product and I wouldn't want to grow orchids without it.

I have been using indolebutyric acid at 400 ppm, applying it weekly or so from a spray bottle to the roots or root area of plants that have been recently repotted or are otherwise in need of more roots. I started at 100 ppm but have now increased the solution to 400 ppm indolebutyric acid and I have not noticed any problems.
