Was the bagged Phal sitting where the sun would hit the bag? Did you keep the bag open so you had air exchange in the bag?

No the phal was not sitting in the sun. I have holes in the bag so I don't keep it open.

I should also say that it started losing the leaves after we moved, so it probably got stressed but I did not think it would lose its leaves. After the move they have not had as much air circulation could have made it lose its leaves?

Did you bag this due to lack of roots?

It's probably dropping foliage due to lack of roots.

The media looks pretty dry in the first pic. It should be moist, but not dry and definitely not soaking wet. Have you tried giving it some seaweed based fertilizer or KLN? That stuff works really well for getting root stimulation and Ray sells a lot if you can't find it locally. https://www.firstrays.com/cgi/cart/c...exact_match=on
