I only found this out when reading about my whole-house humidifier and why you cannot set the gauge on any setting above 50%....

I follow the EPA recommendations for mold prevention:

Keep indoor humidity low. If possible, keep indoor humidity below 60 percent (ideally between 30 and 50 percent) relative humidity.

A Brief Guide to Mold, Moisture, and Your Home:
Moisture and Mold Prevention and Control Tips

Relative Humidity stays around 48-55% in the daytime in my room. At night relative humidity rises to about 55-60% and I get condensation on my window (because here the temp drops 30-40F at night and the air cools as it hits the window releasing water ), but with the recommendations of the peeps on this thread I pulled out a small fan from storage to run at night and on hot or watering days and this decreased the dew a lot.

When I am watering, I have a basin of water sitting for about a day sometimes before it is emptied and cleaned. Otherwise, only my butterwort has stagnant water and that's allowed to dry out every 2-3 days.

Haven't had any mold or mildew problems in my room so far.
