Current picture of my Phal, definatly not a spike, but now there is another area of new growth that's just starting. So maybe a spike on the other side.

It's definatly looking like one now. At first it was hard to tell if it was a spike or a basal keiki. Now to see what the new growth on the left side is.

I believe that the one on the left is a spike. Then, there is a keiki (basal) on the right; and a root below the keiki. My opinion only...BettyE

The right is defiantly a basil keiki. The left could be a spike or root, hard to tell from the picture but I would vote for spike.

Don't wanna sound like a broken record here ... but one for sure is a basil keiki, the other does look like a spike. Its going crazy

Just to update everyone that has been nice enough to help me with info the one on the left is definatly a spike. The basil on the right side is growing nicely also. Soon as it blooms I'll post more pictures.
