Intentionally ingesting silver is a bad idea, especially ingesting silver that has been reduced to colloidal particle size (greatly increasing the reactive surface area of the silver). This is very different from the exposure you would have to a silver tooth filling.

In addition to permanent graying and darkening of the skin (argyria, a.k.a. argyrism), silver can accumulate in eye tissue as well, and may also cause neurological problems. There have been industrial workers, working with silver but accidentally breathing it in over a long period of time, that have wound up on permanent disability from exposure to silver.

I'm not really sure what DSDNYC means by "Despite your best research footnotes" but I will take it to mean that I looked up the safety of a suggested action before jumping on board. In which case . . . you are welcome.

Hydrogen peroxide can't exist for more than seconds in the presence of silver, so it can't get into the plant, let alone do anything in there. The hydrogen peroxide will probably react with whatever is forming the colloid, again decomposing the hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen gas.

Even the 3% solution sold in drug stores / chemists' is unstable, decomposing to water and oxygen over time. Concentrations higher than 3% become dangerous. The peroxide may react with organic contaminants in the container to form explosive compounds.

I can certainly imagine treating a plant topically with 3% hydrogen peroxide for some kind of rot with exposed bacteria of fungi. I could envision doing the same with silver, except I don't know how toxic silver is to plants. Copper compounds are used this way, but I have been warned about using copper on orchids except in the form of cupric oxide.

Tooth fillings are a mercury silver amalgam. They aren't that dangerous, and I have often thought that a root canal job should have a silver element as it is a effective bacteriacide (it is one of the few things that will destroy MRSA infections.)
As for drinking H2O2.. My view is that you are bloody insane. It is an indiscriminate oxidiser. That means if it will destroy bacterial cells, it will destroy your cells too, and in orchids, it will degrade root tissue as fast as it degrades fungus.

"Despite your best research footnotes, my orchid is thriving BECAUSE Colloidal Silver killed the deadly fungal infection. It works the orchid is thriving. What's wrong with that?"
Well, you don't know if something else killed the fungus, and your orchid is thriving DESPITE what you did?

I have had plants arrive that were almost destroyed by mould and fungus, and I pulled them back by treating them aggressively with a fungicide called Mancozeb. I would recommend that to anyone. I have stopped many a problem with it in the garden, and it doesn't harm the orchids one bit. It's also sold as powder that makes a great dessicant if I have to cut half a leaf off for example.

Not to worry. Yes I do know about the blue/gray skin color. One would have to drink allot of it to cause that. I don't drink much of it but I like having it around. I don't know what to think about using it on plants however, not a clue. It cleared up ringworm on cats.
