I grow about 400 differant species of orchids in my small greenhouse from warm to cool growing and haven't been able to find much write up on Telipogon culture and was wondering if anyone on here has grown them with out killing them i know some are harder then others to grow.
Have any advise before i dive in.

What species are you looking into?

I'll mention that I have posted some info in a thread that somebody else started about Telipogons. Perhaps you may have run across it in your search on the OB.

There really isn't much substantial info on them because, at the moment, very few growers figured out how to grow them properly.

The biggest clues are...

They have a monopodial growth pattern, in which some species have a climbing habit.

Growing them in pots are very tricky to near impossible for some species.

Forget everything about what you've read on the internet about Telipogons growing wet - they don't. They like even moisture - not too wet, not too dry.

Temperature tolerance is dependent on the species you're interested in growing.

And yes, they do really appreciate good air circulation.

Lastly, don't expect immediate success, it most likely will not happen. There is a higher probability that you will be searching for ways to grow them correctly in the environment(s) you have.

Do know this...

Telipogons can be cultivated.

Other than this, I don't know too much of the specifics. Not very many species of these plants are really all that available for cultivation.
