Camille and James, I think that is a great solution. I not too short on space, and I really like the size of it. I am simply amazed how well it is doing all things considering!

I will try to get a picture if it ever stops raining. I have three bloom stalks coming on now, and the flowers got a little beaten up from tropical storm Debbie's wind. I May wait until the new bloom stalks open.

I had the same issues with mine after years of it falling over I decided to put in a hanging basket and what I did was tie up the new growth (2 new kanes on right) together and closer for asthetic reasons. and now my den chao praya is really happy and doesnt fall over, well it hangs now but I can place on table when in bloom and display with no issues
As long as the newest cane is as large as the previous one, I would not repot. I had several that I donated last year that had been in the same pots for many years and they were still going strongly. These are plants that love to be pot bound and you will frequently hear that they should be grown in the smallest pot that will contain them.
