You could also try a predator decoy, many species of smaller critter are disturbed by the presence of a large plastic owl which you can get at nearly any garden center. Just make sure to move it once in a while, when you leave them in one spot the critters seem to get used to it and ignore it after a time, but if you change it's location every now and then it keeps em scared.

I use one to keep the starlings off my figs. It works BRILLLIANTLY for birds. Lizards? Dunno.

Tell you one thing tho, you HAVE to move it every day, or they will twig to it being fake very quickly. I mount mine on the shaft of an extending net handle for a swimming pool net so I can have it at different heights.

Maybe you could just put some more appealing food down for the lizards?

The owl may work. A fake snake should work as well.
