How do I prevent lizards from eating orchid blooms?

Just make sure it won't eat your orchids, our cats will eat the blooms off any orchid I bring inside. They also like repotting, but tend to leave the plant without the pot.

How do I prevent lizards from eating orchid blooms? Female
Default Iguanas

Iguanas will eat vegetation and they especially like the blooms of the orchids. I have seen them eat the stems of a denbrodium right down to the base of the plant. I have tried wasp spray to keep them away. It is actually a pepper based spray and it can shoot out a long stream which allows you to spray them without getting too close. They will normally run away but beware as they are capable of a nasty bite if disturbed.

No bites for me but I have seen the bites on others. Living in South Florida we have all kinds of creatures.
