The most flowers on a single orchid ?

I bought a Dtps Minho Princess x Dtps Champion Lightning for $20 on a post Mother's Day sale. It currently has 30 buds and blooms, between 2 spikes. Its absolutely awesome ! The spikes are still branching ! I don't normally like harlequin types but I like the colour splash of this grex and want to cross it with another multi-bloom Dtps I have.
It also seems to be a late-spring/Summer bloomer and I needed the eye candy

My own record for a rebloom is 27 flowers on a Phal Sogo Lit-Sunny. It was a single multi-branched spike and the plant is 4+ years old. I have never succeeded in getting more than one spike, but heck it can flower !

Hmm....my Dtps Queen Beer has had 24 flowers on one branched spike, and currently growing - may just overtake the Lit-Sunny.

How many blooms an orchid may have will depend on size of the plant, size of the blooms (usually plants with smaller blooms can have more blooms on a spike than plants with large blooms), and of course the type of orchid.

The most blooms I ever got out of a standard phal was 48 blooms on one spike, but a heavily branched one. The plant that did this was phal Pauline. She skipped spiking this year after a rather rough fight against mealy bugs, but she's doing well again. Maybe next year or even later this year if I can convince her to put on a show.
